In conjunction with York International Womens Week and Navigators Art and Performance
I co-curated the exhibition made up of submissions from over 18 local artists.
The criteria was to celebrate women's views and voices

Held in City Screen York the exhibition attracted a large amount of people going to look at the exhibits.
One of the largest exhibit was the International Women's Day banner which was a collaboration piece held as an IWW event in 2023. Women were invited to attend workshops and submit a piece of textiles art in response to the theme Solidarity.
These workshops were held both remotely and face to face and over 20 people took part and contributed in some way to the finished banner, many had not created textile art before.

Textile banners have a strong prescence in our social history and that is not diminished in our digital age.
