The Hidden Treasures exhibition was inspired from work in York Art Gallery which had been in archives.
The work I chose to inspire me is called 'Crazy Kate' .

'Drawing inspiration from Thomas Baker's 'Crazy Kate' painting at the 'Hidden Treasures' exhibition in York Art Gallery, my work will use the emotions from Kate's loss and obsessive waiting. The description of Kate with one word, 'crazy' hides the complexity of her life and issues which have befallen her and many others before and after. I reflect her story and feelings through textiles and other mixed media.'
