Creative Encounters was a project for artists to create work in  response to research meetings held by different schools which made up the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

I worked in response to a meeting with the School of Art and Creative Technologies.
This was a meeting about ideas of connectivity between the Music and Theatre, Film, Television and Interactive Studies departments. The discussion was about promoting student's work in the different schools to show visibility of their creativity.

The work I created is named 'The Airwaves Connect'.
The background is the black of an auditorium, the shards of irridescent fabrics - the spotlights on the performance and projects. The open weave fabric has been manipulated to create 3D waves linking the different activities. The stitched narratives show the wealth of the projects within the school.
The colour palette joins both departments together to increase the synergy within the school
